Elsley Primary School News

  • As part of Arts Week, Year 5 visited the National Gallery and had a fantastic time exploring, learning about and sketching different paintings including Bathers at Asnières which they are studying in class.
  • Last week, Year 3 enjoyed their extended day based on their topic of ‘Italy’. They made Italian food, danced, played games and learnt about Italian language and culture.
  • The pupils and staff invite you all to attend our Art Exhibition to celebrate and showcase the amazing work created by our talented pupils during Arts Week. The range of work is inspired by Bathers at Asnières. See poster for more details...
  • Year 6 kicked off Arts Week with some incredible wire work lead by sculpture, Darcy Turner. The children made life size sculptures of some of the people in the picture and the dog.
  • This year, every year group is creating a different piece of art, using different materials, all inspired from Bathers at Asnières by Georges Seurat. Next week we will be displaying it all in an exhibition.
